Is there a reason HTML is off?

BBCode annoys the heck out me sometimes... is there a way to have both? if not I can just deal with it geek

I'm still learning - let me go into the admin folder and see. I thought I had enabled HTML!

I think you enable it in your own profile under PREFERENCES.

I did that and was able to copy and paste in my post but when I saw the completed post it just had the URL with the [img] codes around it

Laura - did you figure it out? FWIW, when I read your thread with your favorite pictures the first time, the pictures didn't show, but now they do! Did you check the HTML preference?

THAT is what I was talking about... LOL I had to go back in and edit the post. Maybe it is just because I have the pic uploaded at flickr? I have no clue...

I just checked my preferences and the HTML is ON but looking at this message box right now underneath the smileys box it says "HTML is OFF" that is why I thought it was an admin thing....

Like I said I can deal with it, it is just a PITA sometimes when you want to add a few pics

I can hand code HTML by doing < P > < img src =" blah blah "> and it inserts a pic - does it not do it for you? minesays HTML off too but it shows when you code...
